With a family sponsorship of Chf 50 / US$ 50 / € 30 / £ 20 per month you will be supporting one child and its family in our project in Mekele (Ethiopia) or Patos (Brazil).

To begin with, all the sponsors get some basic information about the child they sponsor: Where does he live and who looks after him/her? What are their hobbies? What are their favourite subjects? Every year from then on the sponsors get a short report telling them how the child is, how it’s getting on in school, how its family is and so on.

Every child who is part of Operation Rescue attends the local state school and visits our centre daily from Monday to Friday. At the centre the children have a warm meal, they do their homework, and they take English and computer lessons. Of course there is also enough room for sports and games.

The child whom you sponsor will live with his or her family or with other relatives. Members of the staff of Operation Rescue visit them regularly to give help or advice. Operation Rescue supports them by taking over the costs for medical aid for example, or by supplying them with food and clothing.
