Craft Course in Adwa – Discovering Creativity and Learning New Skills Together!

In Adwa, Ethiopia, several of the girls in our project successfully completed a two-month craft course in crochet and lacework. During the graduation ceremony, they proudly presented their handmade creations – the result of dedication, creativity, and perseverance. One participant shared: “Before, I didn’t know how to do lacework. Thanks to this course, I can now make different kinds of handmade items on my own.” Through craft courses like this, we create spaces where children can discover new interests, express their creativity, and develop new skills with joy. Shared achievements help build their confidence and give them valuable moments away from the challenges of everyday life. At the same time, they gain practical skills that can open up new income-generating opportunities now and in the future.
